Since July 2015 I collaborate with colleagues at the Statistical Cybermetrics Research Group at University of Wolverhampton as a Research Fellow in Social Media Analysis. I’m also collaborating on a UK-Mexico research project looking at ‘smart city solutions for managed adaptation and monitoring of hydro-meteorological climate change related risk in Mexico’ funded by ESRC-CONACYT, at the Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture, University of Edinburgh.
Prior to these posts, I worked as a Research Fellow (2012-2014) on a project funded by Marie Curie Cancer Research. The Last Outing at the University of Nottingham in the Sue Ryder Care Centre for the Study of Supportive, Palliative and End of Life Care (now Nottingham Centre for the Advancement of Research into Supportive, Palliative and End-of-life Care). From 2016 to 2019 I collaborated in the ESRC-funded project PlaceAge as part of The Urban Institute at Heriot-Watt University.
I completed my PhD in Sociology in 2011 based at the Strathclyde Centre for Disability Research, University of Glasgow. I also hold an MSc in Prospectiva Estrategica (aka Strategic Foresight and Future Studies) from the Escuela de Graduados en Politicas Publicas, at Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM), Campus Monterrey and a BA in Communication Sciences also from ITESM, Campus Monterrey.
